The mid-top cut gives just enough ankle support for my son without slowing him down at recess. Faux suede wipes clean after mud puddles, but the sizing runs a touch small so we sized up. Decent everyday shoe for the price.

The black faux suede is holding up really well against my son's rough playground antics, which is a relief. I just wish the mid-top height was a tiny bit taller for extra ankle support during his running. Still, they're comfortable enough that he doesn't complain about wearing them to school.
