I love how this makes our evening routine more intentional — my kids actually fight over who gets to write the leaf first. The trunk has enough branches for at least a month of daily gratitude notes, which feels like the right pace.

My daughter picked the leaf with the little bird on it first and wrote that she was thankful for our dog. Now every night before bed she asks to add another one, and the tree's branches are getting pretty full. It's a simple idea but it actually got our whole family talking at dinner.

We set it up on the kitchen counter and it’s become our favorite evening ritual — even my teenager joins in. The paper leaves are just the right size for a quick thought without being a chore.
