An engaging collection of illustrations teaching children all about the amazing planet we live on and the things we can do to make Earth more healthy, sustainable, and even more beautiful. Have fun reading with your child as you come across letters such as these: A for activist, C for compost, E for energy, and O for oxygen.
My four-year-old now points at the recycling bin and tells me which things go where, which pretty much says it all. The page about healthy soil got us both curious enough to start a little pot of herbs on the windowsill.
The illustrations are bright enough that my five-year-old actually sits still through the whole book, and she's started pointing out which bin things go in without me prompting her. The recycling and planting pages have turned into her favorite part of bedtime.
My three-year-old asks for this one every night now—she's obsessed with the illustrations of the oceans and forests. It’s rare to find a kids’ book that makes sustainability feel fun instead of preachy, and this one nails it.
